Robert Graf
Robert Graf 1938-2023 Robert "Bob" Graf went to heaven August 9, 2023, at the age of 85, “Bob” was born in Chicago, IL April 16, 1938, to Robert Graf and Hannah Borcherdt Graf Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susie Douglas; brother, Roger Graf; his first wife, Barbara Carlson Graf; infant granddaughter, Barbara Therese; and the youngest of his two sons, Douglas Graf. He is survived by his second wife, Linda Dolihite Graf; son, Jeffery (Cathy) Graf; his daughter in law, Julie; granddaughters, Taylor, Hannah, Dorthy, Samantha; and his stepfamily. Bob retired from the US postal service after 32 years of delivering mail to the cold Midwest. He and Barbara decided to move to a warmer climate, Alabama. Bob was a consummate athlete. While working at the post office he always played some sport on the side. He played pool, ice hockey, he bowled, baseball (his most loved sport), and of course golf. He shot 23 holes in one over his 60-year career. He also coached and refereed for years. Bob followed the Cubs, Bears, and the Blackhawks all his life. While being a ballroom dancer most of his life, after Barbara died, he began dancing regularly. He met Linda, his second wife dancing. They danced all over south Alabama and northwest Florida. Bob was a man of faith, knew Jesus personally and loved the Lutheran Church. No matter where he lived, he found a church to worship in and was faithful. Robert Graf is already being missed and will never be forgotten. He was kind, loving, handsome, and funny. Jesus and all of heaven is enjoying Bob. We loved him so.
